How we’re different

Most recruiters earn more when you pay more. We don’t.

We find the people doing the job well right now, most of them not looking. You see the work before you talk to anyone. And the fee is flat, so nothing about how we’re paid pulls against getting you the right person.

Who we find

The best people are busy being good at their jobs.

Post a job and you meet whoever was looking that week. Ask a recruiter and you meet whoever they already know. The person you want is doing this job well somewhere else right now, and isn’t reading job boards.

So we go to them. Every brief names the companies we’d recruit from and the people there who could do the job. Only the ones who clear your bar ever hear from us.

You see the work first

The brief comes before the call.

Most searches start with a call where you explain the role and the recruiter explains themselves. Ours starts with the brief, brought to you within four hours: who we’d go after, by name, what we’d ask you, and the messages candidates would get.

If we’ve misread the role, you find out before anyone has spent a week on it. If we’ve read it right, you know what you’re buying.

The incentive

Every dollar you add to the offer adds to their fee.

At 25%, each $10,000 you add to a salary adds $2,500 to the recruiter’s invoice. So in the one conversation where you most need someone on your side, the negotiation, the person advising you gets paid more if you lose it.

We charge $25,000 whether the offer is $140,000 or $240,000. When we tell you a number is fair, we have no stake in it. When we tell you it’s too low to win the person you want, that isn’t us angling for a bigger check.

Every message, before it goes

You read what we’ll send, before we send it.

Candidates judge your company by the first message they get about it. So the brief shows you the messages we’d send, written for real people, before anyone receives one.

Each one is written for one person and sent by a senior recruiter here in the US. No sequences, no templates with a name dropped in. And we never run down a candidate’s current employer to make your job look better. We say what’s true about yours and let them compare.

What we won’t say

Five things you won’t hear from us.

  • Can we get a retainer to start? Nothing is owed until your hire has been with you thirty days.
  • We’ll need exclusivity. Keep every other recruiter you use. May the best search win.
  • Our fee is a percentage of the offer. It’s $25,000, whatever the offer says.
  • We’ll have someone in the seat in two weeks. Nobody controls that, so nobody honest promises it.
  • Here are fifty resumes. You get people by name, each with a reason, or you get nothing yet.
